Common questions
Answers, without the runaround.
Why did my recording stop?
A phone call, audio interruption, low storage, or a permission change can stop a recording. Reopen Sanctum and check the note first—completed audio is kept whenever iOS makes that possible.
Where is the transcript?
Open the note and find the recording that was transcribed. Its transcript stays paired with that clip, and the note shows the current analysis state while work is still underway.
Do I need an account?
Not to record, store, browse, play, edit, rename, delete, share, or export. An account is required only when you choose server-side transcription or synthesis.
Can I add more audio to an existing note?
Yes. Open the note and add another recording. Each clip keeps its own audio and transcript, in order, inside the same note folder.
What if a recording says its audio is unavailable?
The transcript and note remain useful even when an audio file was cleared, moved, or deleted. Sanctum keeps the clip in place and does not treat missing audio as a reason to hide your words.
Why can analysis use minutes?
Cloud transcription and synthesis use paid processing services. Sanctum keeps local features outside that boundary and shows your analysis balance with the note.
